👋 Welcome and Introduction

First of all, welcome to Footium!

Footium is redefining the landscape of football management games. Footium is a live, immersive, strategic gaming experience where you own and manage your own digital football club. Club owners buy, sell, and sign unique players, craft tactical game plans, and compete in real-time leagues where the glory of promotion and prizes, and the risk of relegation and ruin, are just a corner away.

With Footium, you're not just playing a game; you're actively participating in a football ecosystem where every decision shapes your club's legacy. It’s your team, your strategy, and your victory.

This guide details how you can get started with Footium - If you’d like to learn more about the game itself and how it all works, head to the Footium Game Guide.

Before we get started you can watch our video guide below where we create an account, purchase a club & start playing the game in under five minutes:

👏 How to get started.

In order to play Footium, you need to buy a Footium Club and a squad of Footium Players. To do this, you’ll need a crypto wallet and some ETH on Arbitrum.

Arbitrum is an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain (meaning it’s faster and cheaper than Ethereum mainnet, but still secured by it).

We’ve got a full in-depth guide here, but here’s a quick walkthrough:

💼 Step 1: Set Up Your Wallet (Rabby Recommended)

To play Footium, you need a Web3 wallet — think of it as your account for the Footium universe. We recommend using Rabby Wallet — a modern, beginner-friendly browser extension that works great with Arbitrum.

🟢 Rabby is the preferred wallet for Footium players.

If you’re already using MetaMask, that’s fine too — you can use it or import it into Rabby.

🔐 Protect Your Secret Recovery Phrase

When you set up your wallet, you’ll be given a Secret Recovery Phrase (sometimes called a seed phrase). This is incredibly important — it’s the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access.
